Barefoot blisters and sundried skin
Smile wrinkles, tale of sparkling gin
Sightless grey hounds sniff, nose to the ground
Ancient voices lull wisest of sound.
Take me caravan, yes I know you can
Let me come says my friend from distant lands.
.. ..
Full moon fools’ moon rises above
Sonnet birds utter the woes of their love
Cadence of steady sleep fetters its breath
As great clouds sotter their way as to death
Into Zephyrus’ torrent with menace.
Flurry of jewels pull the children to bosom.
.. ..
Golden legs tumble, eyes laugh through such tangled locks
Mischief calls, amidst perusal’s mock
Nevermind daffodil, fossiled ‘neath sandal strap
Restless seductress, dear Clandestine’s age-old maps
Turquoise lined fingertips dance amidst harp-strings
Wheels veer; dusty caravan- off to the distant lands.
