Anna Karenina

This morning I was sad
because I thought my tarantula was dead
She had not moved in two days
and one of her legs were twisted strait in
an unnatural stance.

Then during break I blew smoke on
her web
and was happy to see
she'd moved.
And a green leaf was all tangled
in her web, nearly symbolically.

by tarantula, I mean, of course, black widow.
